Alister's school held a celebration for carnival. It involved wearing a costume, throwing confetti and eating crepes. The school parties are a bit different from those in the US. I dropped Alister off in costume and could watch the outdoor part of the party from the street if I wanted to see. I did, along with a total of three other parents.
It took a while to find him. I finally located him holding on to the hand of a student teacher. He held her hand the entire time (sniff). At least he was smiling.
