As summer is nearly over, we decided we should go to the seaside. We drove to the Mediterranean and found a nice sheltered beach near a town called Leucate. The only problem was the cliff we had to navigate our way down to get there:
The first thing we did was attempt to make sandcastles but the sand was too coarse and they were more like sand lumps. Naturally, Alister had to destroy them but it wasn't enough to just push them over or kick them down. He had to actually get airborne and plant his behind directly on top of them.
Then it was time to go for a swim. Alister wasn't too keen but Clara was happy enough dipping her toes.
Rob was buried in the sand.
Next Alister had a turn.
We played a bit of rugby on the beach (which is when the camera battery ran out) and then headed home. A really nice day at the beach.
